- Right to protest government actions
- Police cannot break up peaceful protests
- You cannot be arrested for peaceful protest alone
Rules to Know
Protests must remain peaceful. Police can intervene only if:
- Violence occurs
- Weapons are present
- Public safety is endangered
If Arrested at a Protest
- Ask for a lawyer immediately
- Stay calm and document badge numbers
